So, I just decided.
I am a witch.
What is a witch by today's standards?
Well, honestly, many things. But I am a kind of witch that mixes various natural ingredients to create a tonic/solution that is intended to solve a problem.
A self-care need, a home remedy or homeopathic cure, a household solution, or a simple aromatherapy concoction. And bonus, all are made using common kitchen ingredients, essential oils, and other natural apothecary-type ingredients.
For years I have played with my extensive essential oil collection and other whole foods and natural ingredients to make all sorts of things for self-care, cleaning, or minor medicinal uses. The other night when I was mixing up a Banana Mash Face Mask and Banana Peel Under Eye Patches with the leftover banana peel from my son's Choco-PB-Licious Smoothie, I was struck with inspiration to create this blog. I will post all the recipes that I have tried, will try, and maybe even those I won't try (but my crazy husband will).
Since I will often make self-care concoctions from ingredients I used in the kitchen that day, you will find a recipe section here too. These recipes will all be tried and tested by my family and myself and I'll include our actual opinions. I will try to link the food recipe to the self-care recipe with which it shares ingredients wherever possible and whenever my overloaded brain remembers this step (full transparency here - I forget things).

And finally, as I dive deeper into learning how to either balance or boost the energy around my primary chakras, I will include information in the recipes on whether it corresponds to one of those chakras or energy centers.
